Bernie Williams as Hitting Coach?

No, I didn't hear this nowhere, it's just an idea of mine. And...I think it's a pretty good one.

Today, the Yankees announce the firing of hitting coach Kevin Long.

There been some interesting names like Tino Martinez, Paul O'neill, Chili Davis. But how about another former Yankee, who was a switch-hitter and could help other Yankee players with his zen, postseason clutch hitting -- Bernie Williams.

I remember once Williams telling Mark Teixeira some hitting tips, since they both were/are switch-hitters.

Williams hit for power and average in his young days with the Yankees.

I know one current Yankee who would love to have Williams aboard and that's outfielder Carlos Beltran. Beltran idolize Williams, being that both were born from Puerto Rico. Beltran became a switch-hitting center fielder because of Williams.

Bring no.51 back to the Bronx!
