Reports coming out today that the New York Yankees are sending out scouts to watch David Price.
Now, either these reports are over speculating or the Tampa Bay Rays are throwing stuff out there to grow Price's suitors.
The Yankees seem to be "very interested" in Price, as reports say. Although, anyone who knows how baseball trades work, or whose been following baseball for long time, know that A.L East teams will not make a trade to help the Yankees. That's why most Yankee fans who saw this news, know there's no chance of it happening.
Only way you see Price on the Yankees is when he becomes a free agent a year from now and signs with them.
But if you ask me there's any chance Price gets traded to the Yankees before the deadline, it'd have to be if the Yankees traded Dellin Betances for him.
Betances is the only player that would make Tampa gift rap Price to the Yankees. And I don't even think that'll do it. But if there's a possibility, Betances would have to go in the deal.
I'd be shocked if the Yankees and Rays have any discussions. I'd hope Price comes here in July. And I hope it's not for Betances.
