Limp Bizkit - "Nookie" 1999
Oh...I miss these days.
Limp Bizkit was one of the hottest upcoming bands in the late 90's. One of the rock bands that was really part of that culture in that time.
This album, "Significant Other", was one of my first CDs. It was a time I started to really get into music, with Limp Bizkit and Eminem and that whole group of musicians from 1999-2000.
Limp Bizkit frontman, Fred Durst, brought something new; something I never seen before in rock music, which was sorta hip-hop inserted into rock music. Other bands like Rage Against The Machine did the same, but Durst was a lot more fluent when he sang, and it made sound like he was rapping.
"Nookie" means: Getting some sex. And in the song, Durst is basically saying he became famous just for the sex. That's my best guess.
I hope one day, Limp Bizkit, Rage Against The Machine, Korn, all the rock bands from that time, come back. The music era needs this guys back BADLY! I'm fucking tired of seeing all these tweener musicians that are ruining music.
